5. Bookings

When you book a class or event with us, we store the details you provide, such as your name, email, and which session you are attending, solely to manage your booking. We do not store payment card details on our servers.

6. QR Codes & Attendance Tracking

Some products include QR codes to validate access (e.g., class bundles). These are used only to validate attendance and are not shared with third parties or used for marketing.

7. Email Communication & Updates

If you book a class, we may send essential emails related to your booking (confirmations, schedule updates). We do not send newsletters without explicit consent.

8. WhatsApp Community

If you opt in when registering, we add your phone number to our WhatsApp Community, which has an announcements channel and topic chats (currently a beginners-class chat and a practica chat). The announcements channel is one-way. The topic chats are regular WhatsApp group chats, so other members of a chat you join can see your name and phone number. Joining the beginners-class chat requires our approval; members cannot add other people themselves.

WhatsApp is provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. and may transfer data outside the EU under appropriate safeguards. We only add you after you opt in. You can leave the community, or ask us to remove you, at any time by contacting hello@tangogarden.de. We keep your phone number for this purpose only until you leave or ask us to remove you.

9. Photos & Video Recordings

During classes, practicas, and events, photos and videos may be taken for documentation, marketing, and promotional purposes (e.g. website, social media). We make reasonable efforts to ensure participants are not portrayed inappropriately.

How to object: Participants may object to the use of photos or videos at any time by informing us on-site or by email at hello@tangogarden.de. We will respect the request and remove identifiable material whenever possible.

Our website may use technically necessary cookies to ensure proper functionality. We also use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, to understand how visitors use our site (pages visited, approximate location, device type, referring site). This runs on every visit and is not gated behind a consent request. Google may process this data, including your IP address, on servers outside the EU.
