Code of Care
Code of Care
Last updated: May 20, 2024Our Intention
Tango Garden is a space for connection, growth, and presence. This Code of Care exists to protect that space and everyone who enters it.
Consent & Choice
- Every dance is optional.
- Asking, accepting, and declining are all equally respected.
- No one owes anyone a dance, an explanation, or physical closeness.
Respect & Boundaries
- We respect physical, emotional, and personal boundaries.
- Unwanted comments, touching, or pressure are not tolerated.
- Feedback is offered with care, never imposed.
Inclusivity
All genders, identities, bodies, and backgrounds are welcome. Tango Garden is a learning space, not a performance or competition.
Care for the Space
- Personal hygiene is part of mutual respect.
- Please arrive on time and help keep the space calm and welcoming.
Alcohol & Substances
Classes and practicas are sober spaces. We prioritize clarity, safety, and presence.
Conflict & Support
If something feels uncomfortable or unsafe, please speak to an instructor or organizer. Concerns will be handled discreetly and respectfully.
Accountability
Repeated or serious violations of this Code of Care may result in exclusion from classes or events, without refund.
Growing Together
This Code of Care is not about perfection. It is about attention, responsibility, and learning how to share a space well.
